Soad Louissi

IMG_3152Directrice de Speak English Center et professeur d’anglais depuis 2004, Soad est neurophysiologue de formation et originaire du Canada anglophone. Arrivée en France en 2002, elle a passé un Master 2 en Commerce. Elle enseigne actuellement l’anglais à l’Institut National Polytechnique, l’Université Joseph Fourrier et dans plusieurs autres instituts. Elle gère également Speak English Center, la formation ainsi que le suivi du travail des formateurs, garantissant ainsi en permanence une qualité de formation supérieure mais aussi une offre variée et personnalisée, visant à répondre à vos besoins.

Nick Holden

IMG_3152Nick has been teaching English since arriving in France in 2003 and is the Pedagogical Manager at Speak English Center. TEFL-qualified, with a qualification in Teaching Business English and a Degree in Business Administration, he has taught in a variety of situations, from individuals and small groups to large groups and half- and full-day professional seminars, from young learners of all ages to adults from all walks of life, and loves what he does. Knowing that language learning is about communication and learning from mistakes, Nick maintains an encouraging, motivating and fun classroom environment. Experienced in test preparation (TOEIC, BULATS..), able to give clear, contextual explanations, he uses his energy and humour to great effect in the learning process. A Martial Artist since the age of 19 and a lover of weight/strength-training, he has daily training sessions, also mountain-biking when possible. Reading action-adventure, sci-fi fantasy novels and any books on combat systems he can get provides regular ‘end-of-day’ moments of relaxation.

Christopher Mitchell

chrisCoach vocal britannique, Chris a démarré sa vie professionnelle en tant que navigateur dans la Royal Air Force. Un changement de carrière radical l’a fait entrer à la Central School of Speech and Drama de Londres, d’où il est ressorti diplômé dans l’enseignement de la Voix et de l’Art Dramatique. Il a ensuite créé sa propre compagnie de théâtre spécialisée dans l’Education. En France, il monte une compagnie de théâtre dans laquelle il est metteur en scène et animateur d’ateliers. Depuis quelques années, il enseigne l’anglais et le théâtre à l’INPG de Grenoble ainsi qu’à l’Université Stendhal 3. Il travaille en parallèle comme coach vocal à l’INPG. Aujourd’hui, il est membre d’un groupe de recherche à l’Université Stendhal 3 qui travaille sur l’importance de la Musicalité dans l’enseignement des langues étrangères.

Ted Gleason

Theodore Gleason picTed, américain, est avocat (CO et NY) et professeur de droit affilié à l’École de Management de Grenoble. Il exerce le droit à distance par le biais de son cabinet d’avocats basé à Denver, CO. Il est spécialisé dans le droit du Commerce International et forme des professionnels afin de les aider à gérer leurs affaires d’un point de vue juridique, l’anglais étant incontournable dans ce secteur d’activité.

Zoe Miller

ZoeZoé enseigne l’anglais depuis qu’elle est arrivée en France en 2000 et travaille en ligne, au téléphone et via Skype depuis 2009. Elle a obtenu son diplôme de TEFL en 2005 ainsi que deux diplômes TESOL en 2011 (enseignement de l’Anglais des Affaires et grammaire anglaise avancée). Elle est principalement spécialisée dans les compétences orales : renforcement de la confiance, prononciation, vocabulaire et capacité d’écoute. Elle enseigne également l’Anglais des Affaires et la grammaire. Ses cours sont personnalisés selon le niveau et les attentes de ses clients, et font appel à diverses méthodes selon les profils. Ses séances s’accompagnent d’un soutien complet à divers niveaux. Zoe prépare également ses stagiaires aux examens de test de niveau (TOEIC, IELTS, BULATS etc) et est traductrice.

Rael Powell

Rael est né prés de Manchester (R.U), puis il à grandi en Écosse, malgré la meilleur volonté du monde, petit à petit les étés pluvieux l’ennuyait, et il s’est installé dans le sud de la France. Ses intérêts pour les langues et l’étymologie l’ont amené vers le monde de l’enseignement, depuis que il à réussit la formation CELTA en 2016, il s’est jamais retourné en arrière, et il prends du plaisir dans son travail avec ses épreuves et récompenses. Aussi, dans un univers parallèle, il crée de la musique étrange et merveilleux, il est impliqué dans plusieurs projets.

Jaime Quintela

Né au Portugal mais il a grandi et a travaillé pendant longtemps au Royaume-Uni. Jaime est diplômé de l’Université de Porto en 2008 avec un diplôme en portugais et anglais – Langue, Littérature et Culture, en 2008 a terminé un cours pédagogique à Porto. Il a travaillé en tant que professeur d’anglais langue seconde et traducteur anglais-portugais/portugais-anglais au Portugal entre 2010 et 2012 et a vécu et travaillé en Angleterre de 2013 à 2016. Il a déménagé à Grenoble au début de l’année 2017 et a travaillé depuis à Speak English Center en tant que professeur d’anglais.

Soad Louissi

IMG_3152Head of Speak English Center and English teacher since 2004, Soad is a neurophysiologist from English-speaking Canada. She came to France in 2002 and completed a Master’s degree in Commerce. She teaches English at the engineering schools as well as Joseph Fourrier University and a few other universities in Grenoble. She also manages Speak English Center, trains and accompanies the center’s teachers ensuring a constant high level English language training and a wide variety of courses in order to better meet clients’ needs.

Christopher Mitchell

chrisChris is a British voice coach, theatre director and English teacher. He started his professional life as a Royal Air Force navigator on low-level attack aircraft. A radical career change led him to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London where he obtained a degree in voice teaching and dramatic art. After several years working in the field of theatre-in-education with his own theatre troupe in the UK he moved to France where he eventually created his own French theatre troupe as director and workshop leader. In the Grenoble region he teaches voice, English and theatre at Stendhal University and the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble. Chris is also a member of a research project at Stendhal University working on the importance of the musicality of language in language teaching, in addition to his voice teaching in the private sector.

Ted Gleason

Theodore Gleason picTed is an American lawyer (CO and NY) and law professor affiliated with the School of Management Grenoble. He practices law at distance with his law firm based in Denver, CO. He specializes in the law of International Trade and provides training to help professionals to better manage their legal affairs which often take place in English.

Zoe Miller

ZoeZoe has been teaching English since she arrived in France in the year 2000 and has been teaching online via Skype and by telephone since 2009. She gained a TEFL diploma in 2005 and 2 TESOL diplomas in 2011 (Teaching of Business English and Advanced English Grammar). er focus is mainly on oral skills: confidence building, pronunciation, vocabulary building and listening skills. She also teaches business English and English grammar and is experienced in working with learners of all ages and levels. Her lessons are adapted to each individual student, according to age, level and learning requirements, using a variety of materials, which are sent to the student by email, before each lesson; she also offers full support and follow-up after each lesson.

Rael Powell

Rael was born near Manchester in the UK and was brought up in Scotland, despite his best efforts, he gradually grew bored with wet summers and moved to the south of France. His interests in languages and etymology brought him into the world of teaching English, since completing the CELTA in 2016 he hasn’t looked back, and enjoys the challenges and rewards of teaching. He also, in a parallel universe, creates weird and wonderful music, and is involved in various ongoing projects.

Jaime Quintela

Born in Portugal but he grew up and worked for a long time in the UK. Jaime graduated from Porto University in 2008 with a degree in Portuguese and English – Language, Literature and Culture and in 2008 finished a pedagogical course also in Porto. He worked as an English as a Second Language teacher and English-Portuguese/Portuguese-English translator in Portugal between 2010 and 2012 and lived and worked in England from 2013 to 2016. He moved to Grenoble at the beginning of 2017 and has since worked at Speak English Center as an English teacher.
